Enel Wins Contract for 41.2MW of New Renewable Capacity, Refurbishments in Italy

Enel SpA said Friday that subsidiaries Enel Green Power and Enel
Produzione have won a contract for 41.2 megawatts of new renewable
capacity and the refurbishment of hydroelectric plants at a call
for tenders in Italy.
The Rome-based energy company said this included 39.9MW of solar
capacity for six new projects and four refurbishments of
hydroelectric plants already in operation. The additional 1.3MW
relate to five other solar projects.
Enel's strategic plan for 2021-23 envisages an overall increase
in additional renewable capacity of 19.5 gigawatts to reach a total
capacity of 68GW.
