Eni's Versalis Acquires Technologies, Plants for Mechanical Recycling Hub in Italy

Eni SpA said Thursday that its chemical subsidiary Versalis has
acquired the technology and plants of Italian company Ecoplastic
for its mechanical recycling hub in northern Italy.
The oil-and-gas major said the instalation of the acquired units
will take place starting from next year. This represents the first
step for the construction of the recycling hub as part of a
transformation project of the Porto Marghera plant in Venice.
Ecoplastic is a company of the De Berg group specializing in the
recovery, recycling and transformation chain of styrenic polymers,
according to Eni.
Financial details of the deal weren't disclosed.
