Eni Buys Prospective Exploration Area in Alaska

Eni SpA (ENI.MI) said Wednesday that it is buying 124
exploration leases in Alaska from Caelus Alaska Exploration
Company, covering a total of 350,000 acres.
The exploration area is located to the south-east of the Prudhoe
Bay oil field and close to existing infrastructure and the
Trans-Alaska Pipeline System, the Italian oil major said.
Eni will have a 100% working interest in all the leases, it
said.
