--Procter & Gamble Co. (PG) said its Art of Shaving business will stop selling shaving brushes made with badger hair, following expressions of concern about animal cruelty, Bloomberg reported Wednesday.

--According to the report, a P&G spokesman said there was no evidence its suppliers, who produce the brushes in China, were engaging in cruel practices, but "we believe we can play a role in helping to stop such practices."

--P&G said it would sell the remaining inventory of badger hair brushes and switch to selling brushes with synthetic bristles, the report said.
