French energy group Engie SA (ENGI.FR) said Wednesday that its
nine-month earnings remained broadly flat, hit by the depreciation
of the Brazilian real and the U.S. dollar against the euro.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization
fell by 0.3% to 6.5 billion euros ($7.4 billion), while revenue
rose 0.4% to EUR43.0 billion.
Engie said Ebitda rose 5% on an organic basis, thanks in part to
good performance from its energy-management activities, which
benefited from favorable market conditions in Europe.
The company confirmed its 2018 financial targets.
