Completion of Acquisition

Mercia Asset Management PLC (AIM: MERC), the proactive, regionally focused specialist asset manager, is pleased to announce that, further to the announcements made on 3 December 2019 and 20 December 2019, it has today completed the Acquisition of the venture capital trust ("VCT") fund management business of NVM Private Equity LLP.

It is therefore expected that admission will become effective in respect of the 16,800,000 Initial Consideration Shares at 8.00 a.m. on 27 December 2019 and as a result, the issued share capital of the Company will increase to 440,109,707 Ordinary Shares. The Company does not hold any Ordinary Shares in treasury.

The above figure may be used by Shareholders in the Company as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the share capital of the Company under the FCA's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.

The definitions referenced in this announcement remain with the same as those from the announcement published at 7.01 a.m. (UK) on 3 December 2019, unless otherwise stated.
