AXA SA said Thursday that it is making changes to its senior leadership team as part of its 2023 strategic plan.

The French insurance company said its corporate center would have a simpler and more focused structure, led by two deputy chief executive officers.

Frederic de Courtois is set to join George Stansfield as deputy CEO on Aug. 1, with both responsible for the group's central functions.

AXA also said group Chief Financial Officer Etienne Bouas-Laurent would become chief executive of AXA Belgium from July 1, while group Chief Risk and Investment Officer Alban de Mailly Nesle will become group chief financial officer from the same date.

The company said its management committee would be composed of 15 members, after the addition of Group General Counsel Helen Browne and Ulrike Decoene, group chief communication, brand and sustainability officer.

Meanwhile, chairman and chief executive of AXA France Jacques de Peretti will serve as a senior advisor to the group chief executive, while AXA Italy Chief Executive Patrick Cohen will be appointed chief executive of AXA France from May 3.
