                         Issues of new Ordinary Shares


Allotment in lieu of Non-Executive Directors' Fees

Further to the authority granted to the Company to issue new ordinary shares of
5p each ("new Ordinary Shares") in lieu of certain non-executive Directors'
fees, the Company has today issued in aggregate 55,312 new Ordinary Shares at
16p per share for the quarter ended 30 September 2003 as follows:

27,187 new Ordinary Shares to Julian Treger, in respect of his services as
non-executive Chairman; and

28,125 new Ordinary Shares to Xanthus Limited ("Xanthus") in respect of Roderick
MacLeod, non-executive Director.


Allotment in Lieu of Consultancy Fees

The Company has today allotted 7,812 new Ordinary Shares to Stanley Davis in
satisfaction of his consultancy fees to BNB's Norman Broadbent Business.


Allotment in Lieu of Fees due to AI Transactions Ltd

The Company has today allotted 200,000 new Ordinary Shares to AI Transactions
Ltd in part satisfaction of fees relating to the acquisition of Garfield Robbins
Limited.

Application has been made for an aggregate amount of 263,124 new Ordinary Shares
to be admitted to trading on AIM and dealings are expected to commence on 9
October 2003.

The interests in the Company of Julian Treger, Xanthus Limited and the members
of the Concert Party and updated for the issue of the new Ordinary Shares, are
as follows:
