More than 80% of the wishes currently waiting
to be granted involve travel
PHOENIX, March 20,
2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Make-A-Wish is excited to
announce the renewal of its partnership with Chase, expanding its
support to help grant travel wishes for children battling critical
illnesses. This renewed commitment will see Chase contributing
$3 million, with a combination of
Chase Ultimate Rewards® points and cash. Since the
inception of the partnership in 2024, over 150 million Ultimate
Rewards points have already helped grant more than 300 wishes.
Make-A-Wish needs more than 2.8 billion miles — the equivalent of
50,000 round-trip tickets — to cover travel wishes each year.

"When a wish includes air travel, airfare costs are often the
largest expense for wishes and for every wish we grant, two more
children with critical illnesses are still waiting for their wishes
to come true," said Leslie Motter,
president, and CEO of Make-A-Wish America. "Chase's ongoing support
allows Make-A-Wish to provide hope and joy through transformative
travel experiences that create lasting memories for children and
families during their most challenging times."
The partnership fuels the travel of wish kids like
twelve-year-old Brynn, an enthusiastic bird watcher. Brynn's wish
to visit Hawaii with her family
provided her with renewed motivation during her battle with a
vascular disorder. Fifteen-year-old Lila, like Brynn, created new
memories on a mother-daughter trip to Pfeiffer Beach, while
fifteen-year-old Dylan watched his favorite team play in the World
Series.
By helping grant these travel wishes, Chase's donation enables
children to replace fear with confidence, sadness with joy, and
anxiety with hope. Research shows that a wish can have significant
physical and emotional benefits, increasing the chances of survival
for children facing critical illnesses.
"We are proud to support Make-A-Wish and renew our partnership
to help make wishes possible for children facing critical illness,"
said Jennifer Wilson-Buttigieg, Head
of Travel Policy, Chase Travel Group. "With so many wishes
involving travel, specifically the need for airline tickets, we
have the unique opportunity to donate Ultimate Rewards points to
fuel travel wishes for wish kids and families, and to invite our
cardmembers to redeem their rewards to support causes that matter
to them most, like Make-A-Wish."
Chase Travel Group is a global full-service travel provider
under JPMorganChase and encompasses influential travel brands such
as Chase Travel, FROSCH, and VWT. Chase cardmembers can support
Make-A-Wish by donating at wish.org/Chase, then redeem
Ultimate Rewards for the value of the donation by using Pay
Yourself Back® through the Ultimate Rewards
portal.
