ATLANTA, June 26, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Speedemissions,
Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: SPMI - News), a leading vehicle
emissions testing and safety inspections company with stores in
Atlanta, Houston, St.
Louis and Salt Lake City,
today announced that it has signed an agreement with The Franchise
Doctor, Inc. of Atlanta, GA to
assist with its plan to begin the franchising of its business model
into a number of other U.S. markets. The company views the
franchising vehicle as a means to continue its growth strategy and
increase the size of its retail store presence. After securing
approval for all the necessary disclosure documents, the company
expects to be selling franchises by the fourth quarter of 2012.
Speedemissions will form a new company, SpeedEmissions Car
Centers, LLC, in which they will franchise their vehicle
emission and safety inspection store model. Franchises will be made
available to qualified store operators who have an interest in
either a single or multi-location opportunity in a number of cities
where emission testing/safety inspections and other automotive
services are required.
Rich Parlontieri, President/CEO,
stated, "We're excited to be working with Jim Deitz and his firm as it relates to the
execution of this new platform of growth for our company. We've
spent a great deal of time researching and studying this strategic
business initiative over the past couple of years and now feel we
have refined our store model into what can become a successful
franchise model as well."
"We are pleased to be supporting Speedemissions in this new
business venture. We believe our wide-ranging industry experience
will be of great value to the company as we prepare all the
necessary documentation, operations manuals, systems, etc.," added
Jim Deitz, President of The
Franchise Doctor.
