PRESS RELEASE

SAINT-GOBAIN strengthens its capacity in PLASTERBOARD IN BRAZIL
and reinforces its position ON THE light construction markets
Saint-Gobain announces the construction of a new plasterboard
line at its Mogi das Cruzes site near São Paulo, Brazil. It will be
the Group's third plasterboard line in the country.
This investment will enable Saint-Gobain to substantially
increase its plasterboard production capacity in Brazil, in order
to meet the rapidly growing local demand and to consolidate
Saint-Gobain's leadership position on the light construction
markets in Latin America.
This new line, which will be operational in early 2023, complies
with the highest standards in terms of industrial performance,
safety, energy consumption and environmental compliance. It will
generate 15% less CO(2) emissions than the first line and increase
the internal reuse of waste by 50%.
Saint-Gobain has been present in Brazil since 1937, with 56
plants and nearly 12,000 employees. The Group holds a leading
position in interior and exterior solutions, facades and
ceilings.
