KPFértil receives certification in Paraguay
Harvest Minerals Limited, the AIM listed remineraliser producer,
is pleased to announce that it has received certification to sell
its organic, direct natural application fertiliser, KPFértil, in
Paraguay.
Brian McMaster, Chairman of Harvest, said: "The learnings and
development over recent years are now bearing fruit. Having
cemented a foothold at Arapua and the surrounding district, we are
now setting our sights further afield as the benefits of direct
application natural fertiliser and KPFértil are being recognised by
the farming community. We have sought and received certification in
Paraguay in response to consumer lead enquiry; although its early
days, we expect to be adding Paraguayan customers to our portfolio
during 2022. We are very excited about commencing developing our
sales channels into Paraguay."
Details
Harvest continues to focus on building sales of KPFértil(R),
produced at its Arapua Fertiliser Project in Brazil ('Arapua'), and
has already achieved its 2021 sales target of 80,000 tonnes (see
RNS announcement dated 26 October 2021). While its core sales
efforts will remain on the vast Brazilian agriculture market (33.0%
of the country's total land area is used for agriculture), the
Company has been looking to expand its reach. Accordingly, it has
received certification from SENAVE (Servicio Nacional de Calidad y
Sanindad Vegetal y de Semillas) to sell KPFértil in Paraguay.
Being a large agricultural producer, with approximately 55% of
total land area agricultural land, Paraguay offers many
opportunities for agro-industrial companies. Given its main
agricultural products are broadly similar to Brazil (soybeans,
coffee, maize, and sugar cane), the Company anticipates significant
interest for its organic fertiliser, which has proven cost and
quality benefits.
