Capital Markets Day and Trading Update

Headlam (LSE: HEAD), Europe's leading floorcoverings distributor, is today holding a Capital Markets Day at its distribution centre in Ipswich. This event is being held in person with a limited audience due to ongoing COVID-19 considerations and regulations. The event will be hosted by the Directors of Headlam, and feature presentations from managers responsible for projects under the Company's Operational Improvement Programme delivering revenue growth opportunities and cost improvements. Visitors will also receive a tour of the Ipswich facility. All the materials being presented are now available on the Company's website ( https://www.headlam.com/investors/reports-presentations/ ), and a webcast of the event will be available to view a short while after the event.

The Company is also today providing a brief update on trading, with no further financial or price sensitive information being disclosed at the event.

Total revenue for the year-to-date is now in-line with the 2019 comparator*, having been slightly below for the four months to 30 April 2021, and approximately 46% ahead of the 2020 comparable period* which was significantly impacted by COVID-19 related closures. The residential sector has continued to be strong, and the commercial sector is continuing to recoup its earlier weakness. Despite documented industry supply issues, the Company has maintained its inventory position, which currently stands at approximately GBP117 million.

The Company will provide a further update on trading at the time of its Pre-Close Trading Update on 29 July 2021, ahead of its interim results.

*Performance for continuing operations only. Excludes the contribution from the Swiss business in 2021, and the comparison years, following its disposal in May 2021.
