Italian Competition Authority Launches Probe Into British American Tobacco

The Italian Competition Authority, or AGCM, said Monday that it
has launched an inquiry into British American Tobacco PLC's Italian
operations.
According to the regulator, three Italian influencers who had a
commercial agreement with BAT Italia SpA posted content related to
BAT's Glo Hyper tobacco-heating device without disclaiming the
promotional nature of the posts.
AGCM said the antitrust section of Italy's financial crime
investigation unit carried out an inspection at BAT's offices on
May 27.
BAT Italia didn't respond to a request for comment on the
matter.
