Management changes

Star Phoenix, an AIM listed company (AIM: STA) focused on growth through attractive opportunities, announces that, pursuant to the Company's restructuring, the Directors made a decision to implement changes to the management team. As a result, a mutual agreement was reached for Mr Theo Eleftheriades, the Chief Financial Officer and Ms Evgenia Bezruchko, the Group Corporate Development Manager and Joint Company Secretary to cease their employment in their current roles. Mr Lubing Liu, the Executive Director, Chief Operating Officer and Joint Company Secretary has tendered his resignation from his role as Joint Company Secretary, but will continue in his other roles without any change.

The Board of Directors have approved the non-Board appointment of Mr Harry Liu as Chief Financial Officer and Mr Richard (Rick) John Clark as Company Secretary. All of the management changes will come into effect on 1 September 2021.

Profile of Mr Harry Liu

Mr Harry Liu is an experienced accountant with 20 years' experience in public practice and the corporate world. He qualified as a chartered Accountant with a local firm in Melbourne, Australia. He is currently also the Principal of LGY Accountants Pty Ltd. He and his team look after a portfolio of entities across a wide range of industries as diverse as financial services, property and resources. Harry enjoys applying his technical knowledge to assist clients with a range of business challenges and compliance requirements. Harry holds a bachelor's degree from Shanghai University and a master's degree from Deakin University in Australia.

Profile of Mr Rick Clark

Mr Rick Clark is an internationally experienced senior executive with over 30 years' experience and has an extensive background in the Oil and Gas ("O&G") industry. Rick has held various senior and executive positions both onshore and offshore. These positions include: Group Managing Director, Chief Operating Officer, Country Manager and Regional Manager for Sub Saharan Africa. Other senior and executive positions held include: General Manager/Country Manager (Nigeria & Ghana) and Company Representative. Rick has also been employed as an Associate to an International Investment Bank based in Baku, Azerbaijan, mainly dealing in Resource Industry opportunities. Mr Clark has a proven and successful track record in Business Management, Business Development and an excellent understanding of the commercial aspects of the O&G Industry. The countries in which Mr Clark has worked include: Azerbaijan, Australia, France, Germany, Ghana, Nigeria, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Netherlands, France, Norway, Singapore, the USA and the Arctic (earlier in his career, when he was serving in the British Royal Navy). Mr Clark is a member of the Institute of Civil Engineers, the Institute of Engineering and Technology and the Society for Underwater Technology.
