Purchase of Shares by Employee Benefit Trust

Taylor Wimpey plc was today notified by the Trustee of its Employee Benefit Trust ("the Trust") that the Trust has acquired 2,708,872 ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company ("the Shares") on the London Stock Exchange at an average acquisition cost per share of 153.968p net of expenses.

The Shares will be used to meet the valid exercise or vesting of options or awards over Shares granted under the terms of the Company's various share plans.

Following this transaction, the Trust holds 9,085,694 Shares.
