--Enel Chief Executive Francesco Starace said late Monday that the Italian company will go "all the way" in its battle against Iberdrola to take over Eletropaulo Metropolitana Electricidade de Sao Paulo, Expansion reports.

--Mr. Starace said the Italian group is studying whether to improve on its offer to buy Brazil's largest electricity company, according to Expansion.

--The comments come after Spanish utility Iberdrola on Monday boosted its original offer for Eletropaulo to beat out Enel's rival bid.
