Enel SpA (ENEL.MI) said Thursday it agreed to sell its portfolio of biomass-generation plants in Italy to private-equity firm F2i SGR for 335 million euros ($389 million).

The portfolio includes two operational plants and 50% of a joint venture that owns two plants currently under construction and one that is in the project phase, Enel said. The total net installed capacity of the portfolio is of about 108 megawatts, the company said.

The Rome-based energy company said the transaction, which is subject to regulatory approvals, may take place through individual transfers of the plants between 2018 and 2019.
