Italy's Eni SpA (ENI.MI) said Wednesday that its chemicals subsidiary Versalis has won a bid for the green activites of the Mossi Ghisolfi Group, comprising four companies.

Versalis will take over assets and resources related to the activities from Biochemtex, Beta Renewables, Italian Bio Products and IPB Energia, Eni said. A transfer of the business units will be formally agreed to in coming weeks.

A bidding process had been ordered by the court of Alessandria, Italy, following the bankruptcy of the chemicals company.
