GBPJPY Pound Sterling vs Japanese Yen

As expected, the Bank of England kept its interest rate unchanged at 0.75 percent and asset purchase facility at GBP 435 billion.

Following the decision, the pound dropped further against its major counterparts.

The pound was trading at 141.19 against the yen, 1.2892 against the franc, 1.2860 against the greenback and 0.8808 against the euro around 7:03 am ET.
