Total SA (FP.FR) said Monday that it has submitted a joint bid with Denmark's Oersted AS (ORSTED.KO) and Belgium's Elicio to build a 600-megawatt wind farm offshore Dunkirk, northern France.

The French energy company said the bid was in line with its strategy to develop its low-carbon electricity business in Europe.

Engie SA (ENGI.FR) and EDP Renovaveis SA (EDPR.LB) submitted a rival bid to develop the project.
