Gillette has entered into a partnership with international waste-management and recycling company TerraCycle and said all its brands of disposable razors, replaceable-blade cartridge units and razor plastic packaging will be recyclable on a national-scale.

Under the new partnership, Gillette will enable customers to recycle their razors in three ways.

Customers can recycle their razors from home by printing out a mailing label, packing the used razors into a secure container and mailing it to TerraCycle for recycling.

Gillette On Demand customers can print out a label and return their used razors in the On Demand delivery packaging.

Gillette is also seeking businesses, schools and community organizations interested in becoming public drop-off points for the company's razor recycling program.

Participants in this program will receive a recycling bin that, once full, can be mailed back to TerraCycle so the contents can be recycled. Organizations that participate in the Gillette Razor Local Recycling Solutions as a public drop-off location earn money for the waste that they recycle through TerraCycle's Sponsored Waste Recycling Program, the companies said.

Gillette is owned by Procter & Gamble Co. (PG).
