LOWELL, Mass., March 21, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- TRC, a
leading provider of end-to-end engineering, consulting and
construction management solutions fueled by innovative technology,
received a Business Achievement Award for growth and innovation
yesterday from the Environmental Business Journal for its 2018
acquisition of Vali Cooper & Associates.
TRC acquired the California-based infrastructure and
construction management firm last June. It was the company's first
major acquisition after going private in a 2017 sale to New
Mountain Capital.
"The acquisition of Vali Cooper was a continuation of our
disciplined growth strategy and further cemented our position as a
leading provider of integrated services in one of the leading
infrastructure markets in the world," said Jim Stephenson, TRC's Chief Strategy Officer.
"With New Mountain Capital's support going forward, we are better
positioned than ever to continue investing in the business and
accelerating our growth initiatives."
Thanks to the Vali Cooper & Associates acquisition, TRC now
has 600 employees in California
providing a full complement of engineering and construction
management services in the infrastructure, oil and gas,
environmental and power markets.
"In what is widely regarded as a stable market, a number of
companies exceeded the norms of low single-digit growth with
double-digit growth or ambitious ventures into new practice areas
or technology development," said Grant
Ferrier, president of Environmental Business International
Inc., publisher of Environmental Business Journal.
The 2018 EBJ awards were presented at the Environmental Industry
Summit XVII in San Diego on
March 20.
