Chevron Reports Gas-Flaring at Richmond, Calif., Refinery

Chevron Corp. (CVX) reported above-normal flaring of gas
emissions at its Richmond refinery in northern California.
According to a statement from the California Emergency
Management Agency, the refinery said there was a "flaring event
that may exceed their reportable quantity of sulfur dioxide." It
said the incident happened Wednesday night.
The 250,000 barrel-a-day refinery is located just north of
Oakland.
