Chevron Reports FCCU-Related Shutdown at Pasadena Refinery in Texas

Chevron Corp. (CVX) reported a planned shutdown Friday linked to
a gasoline-making fluid catalytic cracking unit at its refinery in
Pasadena, Texas.
In a statement to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality,
the refinery said it would "follow applicable maintenance, startup,
and shutdown procedures to minimize emissions," but didn't
specifically indicate the purpose of the shutdown.
The shutdown began Friday morning and was due to end Saturday
morning, the refinery said.
The 110,000-barrel-a-day refinery is located in the Houston
area.
