Intention to issue and allot securities

The Company announces that on 23 June 2020 3,000,001 ordinary shares of 1 pence each in the Company (the "New Ordinary Shares") will be issued and allotted to the trustee of the Company's employee benefit trust for nominal value, for the purpose of satisfying the vesting of awards under the Biffa Deferred Share Plan 2016, the Biffa Sharesave Plan 2016 and/or the Biffa Performance Share Plan 2016.

Applications will be made for admission of the New Ordinary Shares to the premium listing segment of the Official List of the UK Listing Authority and to trading on the main market of the London Stock Exchange (together "Admission"). Admission is expected to occur at 8.00am on 23 June 2020.
