--U.K. officials are considering the separation of National Grid ESO from its parent company National Grid PLC, the Telegraph reported Saturday.

--Support is growing for the ESO to be reorganised into an independent body, according to the Telegraph.

--Regulators are currently exploring the potential structure of such an entity, as well as how to compensate National Grid shareholders, the Telegraph reported.
