Intesa Sanpaolo SpA said it has reached a supplementary
agreement regarding its deal to sell certain branches and other
operations to BPER Banca SpA following Intesa Sanpaolo's takeover
of Unione di Banche Italiane SpA.
Intesa Sanpaolo said late Thursday the supplementary agreement
covers 486 of the combined company's branches--seven more than in
the previous agreement--and 134 other outlets such as sub-branches.
The agreement also includes the transfer of 5,107 staff members,
the bank said.
