--U.K. leisure-travel group Jet2 PLC is in advanced talks to order dozens of narrowbody planes, and European plane maker Airbus SE is seen as the best-positioned to win the deal, Reuters reported Wednesday, citing unnamed sources.

--If signed, the transaction could be for around 50 Airbus aircraft and would be worth around $5 billion before typical discount on list prices, Reuters reported.

--The deal would be a blow for U.S. rival Boeing Co. which is Jet2's current supplier, according to Reuters.
