Energias de Portugal 2012 Electricity Output Drops 6.8% in 2012

LISBON--Energias de Portugal SA (EDP.LB), the country's largest
power utility, said Wednesday that its electricity output dropped
6.8% in 2012.
MAIN FACTS:
-Electricity output in the 2012 was 55 terawatt hours, down from
59 terawatt hours a year earlier.
-Installed capacity was steady at the end of 2012 at 23.4
gigawatts, compared with 23.2 gigawatts at the end of 2011.
-EDP will publish its full-year earnings March 5.
