    MINORPLANET ASIA PACIFIC PTY LTD ACHIEVES CERTIFICATION AS AN IAP SERVICE PROVIDER


    Minorplanet Systems plc ("Minorplanet" or "the Company"), the developer and provider of Vehicle Management Information (VMI*), is
pleased to announce that its Australian subsidiary, Minorplanet Asia Pacific Pty Ltd, has achieved certification as an Intelligent Access
Program ("IAP") Service Provider.

    IAP is a scheme, administered by Transport Certification Australia Limited ("TCA"), that allows transport operators of heavy vehicles
improved access to Australia's road network in return for GPS monitoring of compliance with specific access conditions. The IAP then
provides road authorities with greater confidence that heavy vehicles are complying with the agreed road access conditions.

    Under the IAP, participating heavy vehicles are monitored using telematics services with an in-vehicle unit ("IVU"). The IVU can only be
supplied and operated by an IAP Service Provider, certified by TCA. Minorplanet is one of only two companies able to provide IAP services to
transport operators.
