Proposals for conversion into an Open-Ended Investment Company

As announced on 27 May 1999 and in accordance with the stated intention of the
Company when originally listed in August 1996, the Board of Value Realisation
Trust plc has concluded that it is in the best interests of shareholders to
put the Company into voluntary liquidation and give shareholders/CULS holders
the opportunity to transfer their investment to a new vehicle or realise their
investment for cash.  The new vehicle will be International Growth & Value
Fund, an open-ended investment company.  International Growth & Value Fund
will have a similar investment policy to the Company.

The proposals require approval by shareholders and certain other clearances. 
Full details of the proposals are being sent to shareholders and CULS holders
today, together with Notices of the necessary meetings.
