Redback Networks Inc. (NASDAQ:RBAK), a leading provider of next-generation broadband networking systems, today announced a deal with Kisan Telecom Co. Ltd (www.kisantelecom.com), a Korean manufacturer and reseller of telecommunications equipment. Kisan will manufacture and re-sell a customized version of the SmartEdge� 100 multi-service edge router for Korean customers. The Redback-Kisan routing gear will be used for services such as �nomadic� wireless and mobile broadband access, secure virtual private networks (VPN), voice-over-Internet-Protocol (VoIP), and video conferencing.
