KMG America Corporation (the "Company") (NYSE:KMA) today became aware that certain business news databases have incorrectly reported the Company will be making an announcement of its fourth quarter 2005 earnings tomorrow, March 2nd. The Company has not yet set a date to announce fourth quarter earnings, but it anticipates this announcement will be made on or before March 16. The Company expects to follow its past practice of announcing earnings on the same day it files its Form 10-K. The Company also intends to provide at least 24 hours advance notice of its earnings announcement.
