APL Appulse Corporation

Appulse Corporation ("Appulse") (TSX VENTURE:APL) today reported revenues of $
2,705,000 for the six months ended June 30, 2009, compared to $ 3,108,000 for
the same six-month period of the previous year. The Corporation reported a net
loss of $ 275,000 for the first six months of 2009, compared to a net loss of $
90,000 for the same period of the previous year. The negative operating cash
flow for the six-month period of $ 247,000 compares to a positive operating cash
flow of $ 38,000 for the same period of 2008.


The decrease in revenue for the period is attributed to a low level of
centrifuge machine sales to   June 30, down 40% compared to the previous year.
By contrast, revenue from the sale of parts increased by 10% over the previous
year and service revenues increased by 13% compared to the first half of 2008.
The overall gross margin percentage was 3% lower than the previous year
reflecting the mix of sales and a very competitive environment. Overheads
increased during the period related to the growth in the Corporation's marketing
team. The emphasis on marketing is reflected through an increase in the number
of project opportunities and customer quotes. Management anticipates an increase
in machine sale revenues during the final quarter of 2009.
