Reliant Gold Corp. ("Reliant" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:REC) is pleased to
announce the appointment of Kabir Ahmed as President and Chief Executive Officer
of the Company effective today, and subject to any applicable regulatory
approval. Mr. Ahmed, the founder and a former President and CEO of the Company,
is a corporate and securities lawyer and has a background in corporate finance
and strategic management. Mr. Ahmed will be working closely with the Company's
board of directors to carry out a strategic review of all financing and
acquisition alternatives for the Company with a view to creating long-term
shareholder value.


The Company wishes to thank Mr. Andrew Hara, the Company's current President and
CEO, for his service to the Company. Mr. Hara has skillfully guided the Company
through a period of time that has been extremely difficult for the junior
mineral exploration and mining sector in Canada, and internationally. Mr. Hara
will continue to serve on the Company's board of directors where his technical
expertise as a mining engineer will be invaluable. 


ABOUT RELIANT

Reliant is a junior mineral exploration company with an experienced management
team engaged in the acquisition, exploration and development of properties for
the mining of precious and base metals and uranium. The Company holds: (i) a
100% interest in the Borden Lake South Property, comprised of 20 mining claims
representing 294 claim units covering approximately 4,704 hectares, located 10
kilometres east of town of Chapleau, Ontario and (ii) an option to acquire a
100% interest in the MC Dalhousie Property located in northwestern British
Columbia, Canada. The common shares of Reliant trade on the TSX Venture Exchange
