ENCINITAS, CA (PINKSHEETS: GRHI) announced today that
representatives from Renewable Energy Resources will travel to
Texas in early March to research the Company's potential for wind
turbine generation.
A recent New York Times article said that Texas, once the oil
capital of North America, is rapidly turning into the capital of
wind power. More than 3% of Texas' electricity, sufficient to
supply power to one million homes, comes from wind turbines. Texans
are even turning tapped-out oil fields into wind farms, and no less
an oil man than Boone Pickens is getting into alternative energy.
Pickens said, "I have the same feelings about wind as I had about
the best oil field I ever found." He is planning to build the
largest wind farm in the world. Installed wind capacity in the
United States grew 45% last year. Amid rising concern about
greenhouse gasses from coal-burning power plants, wind power is
booming.
"Although wind turbine power will be the Company's primary focus
while in Texas, solar energy will also be explored," stated Merle
Ferguson, Chairman of the Board.
GOLD ROCK HOLDINGS, INC. presently consists of three existing
subsidiaries: Z-MIX HOMES, INC., Composite Industries, Inc., and
Renewable Energy Resources, LLC. The Company is currently seeking
financing for each of its subsidiaries.
