Impact Fusion International (PINKSHEETS: IFUS) announced today it
has developed a natural caffeine free "hangover" relief beverage to
be sold in a 2 ounce shot. The beverage will contain Impact Fusion
International's proprietary blend Nutri-Mastic(TM). The product has
been developed for a U.S.-based multimillion dollar beverage
company with distribution in more than half of the United States
Market.
The most recent numbers available show that in the United States
alone the economy suffers from approximately $148 billion annually
in lost productivity directly related to over indulgence of
alcohol. Hangovers from excessive alcohol consumption result in
unpleasant physical and mental symptoms including fatigue,
headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea due to the loss
of electrolytes, vitamins, mastic gum and ionic minerals.
This 2 ounce "hangover" relief beverage which contains
Nutri-Mastic(TM) helps alleviate these symptoms. Nutri-Mastic(TM)
replenishes the body with electrolytes, which supports hydration
and pH balance. Furthermore, this 2 ounce beverage enhances
cellular absorption of vitamins, mastic gum and ionic minerals that
support the digestive system to alleviate gastrointestinal
discomfort that is typically experienced with excessive alcohol
consumption.
About Global Alcohol Related Lost Productivity
According to the Annals of Internal Medicine, Volume 132, Number
11, "Although a hangover might be considered trivial -- just
desserts for the overindulgent -- it has substantial economic
consequences." Based on a British study, the total productivity
lost worldwide from developed countries was in excess of USD $150
billion. In particular, the following results were published:
Alcohol use accounted for 2 billion pounds (USD $3.3 billion) in
lost wages each year, most of which resulted from work missed
because of hangovers. Alcohol costs in Canada amount to $7.5
billion each year, and $1.4 billion is lost each year because of
decreased occupational productivity caused by hangover-like
symptoms.
Studies in other countries have yielded similar per capita
estimates for the annual cost of alcohol ingestion: Australia, $3.8
billion; New Zealand, $331 million with the United States losing
$148 billion per annum. The study further reported that in the
workplace, the greatest cost incurred by alcohol is the decreased
productivity of affected employees as a result of hangover-related
absenteeism and poor job performance.
