The president of Chevron's marine services, Mark Ross, is retiring after more than three decades with the energy giant.

Chevron on Wednesday said Ross will retire as president of Chevron Shipping effective May 1 and will be succeeded by Barbara Pickering, currently the unit's vice president of operations.

Ross, who joined the San Ramon, Calif., company in 1990, has led Chevron Shipping since 2015. Pickering joined Chevron in 1991.
