L'Oreal SA said Thursday that sales rose in its third quarter thanks to growth across all its regions and divisions.

The French cosmetics and consumer-products company said quarterly sales came in at 8 billion euros ($9.32 billion) in the July-September period, up 13.6% on a reported basis. Based on a comparable structure and at constant exchange rates, sales increased 13.1%, it said.

Its active-cosmetics division registered the largest growth with like-for-like sales up 28.4%, while its consumer-products segment's growth was the smallest at 3.2%, it said.

The recovery in the U.S. is confirmed with sales up 22.9% like-for-like for North America during the quarter, while Europe's sales grew 7.5%.

"In an environment which remains uncertain, our performance in the third quarter strengthens our ambition to outperform the market and achieve a year of growth in both sales and profits," it says.
