Wilmington Trust Corp. (WL) has hired Lawrence Gore, formerly
head of Herald National Bank's (HNB) wealth-management business, as
a senior private-client adviser with its Wealth Advisory Services
business in New York. He reports to Roger Hobby, president of WAS's
northeastern U.S. region.
Prior to joining Herald National, New York, late in 2008, Gore
spent 18 years with UBS's (UBS) U.S. private banking business,
ultimately as head of a team that specialized in working with
corporate executives.
In a press release Hobby said Gore's "knowledge of our business
and his ability to pull together the advisory resources needed to
effectively serve complex needs will make him a significant asset
to" Wilmington Trust's clients.
Wilmington Trust, of Wilmington, Del., and its affiliates
managed $56.9 billion at the end of March. Its WAS business
provides personal-trust, wealth-planning, asset-management, and
family-office services.
