Cedar Shopping Centers and Regal Cinemas Announce Plans for a
60,000 Sq. Ft. 2,800-Seat Theater Complex at the Camp Hill Mall
PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y., Nov. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Cedar
Shopping Centers, Inc. and Regal Cinemas today announced that they
had signed an agreement for construction of a 60,000 sq. ft. 14
auditorium movie picture theater complex at the Camp Hill Mall. The
theater will accommodate 2,800 viewers in stadium seating. A land
development plan including the theater site has been fully approved
at all levels by the Borough of Camp Hill in August of this year.
The theater will be built at the location of the present Giant Food
store and a portion of the existing Camp Hill mall adjacent to the
Giant Food store. There will be approximately 1,000 parking spaces
devoted to the theater use. Construction at the Camp Hill Mall as
part of its redevelopment has in fact commenced. The site of the
former Montgomery Ward store and a portion of the former food court
are presently being demolished to make way for a
previously-reported new 65,300 sq. ft. Giant Food store facing
Trindle Road (and approximately 24,000 sq. ft. of new adjacent
retail stores facing Route 15). Regal Cinemas is the largest motion
picture exhibitor in the world. It is part of the Regal

Edwards and Hoyts theaters, among others. The Regal Group cinemas
