    DEVELOPMENT OF DECLINE COMMENCES
    AT THE PERKOA ZINC PROJECT

    AIM Resources Limited ("the Company", "AIM Resources") (ASX: AIM; AIM: AIMR) is pleased to announce the commencement of the decline at
the Perkoa Zinc Project in Burkina Faso. On 16 May 2008, the first blast was fired, providing access from the recently constructed portal to
approximately 3 metres along the decline.
    AIM Resources' Chief Executive Officer Bill Cash said, "This is a major milestone for the Company. We are rapidly advancing the
development at Perkoa, and this stage of construction marks a key transition as the project develops into a mine."
    Development of the decline continues. Following the emplacement of support structures, a shotcrete unit will assist in stabilisation
during construction of the decline.
    The application of shotcrete to the faces of the Boxcut is nearing the final stages. Ramp drainage is complete, with the final surface
of the ramp being laid shortly. Dewatering pumps and piping are being prepared for permanent installation following the completion of
shotcreting. 

    Background
    The Perkoa Zinc Project is located in the Sanguie Province of Burkina Faso, approximately 120 km west of the country's capital,
Ouagadougou, and 35km from Koudougou, which is linked by rail to the Port of Abidjan in the neighbouring Country of Cote d'Ivoire. 
    The Project is host to a volcanogenic massive sulphide deposit within the Lower Proterozoic Birimian Greenstone Belt. The Perkoa deposit
is unusual for its high concentrations of zinc, and relatively low levels of lead and copper.
