London, 2 June 2006 - It is with great sadness that Amphion Innovations plc
(AMP.L) announces the sudden and untimely death of Dr. David Evans, the CEO of
our partner company WellGen, Inc. on 1 June 2006.



Dave's passing is a tragic loss for his family, his friends, and his colleagues
at WellGen.  It is also a deep personal and professional loss for the staff of
Amphion.  Dave will be remembered for his great contributions in the field of
agricultural biotechnology and as a pioneer in establishing and leading the
nascent field of nutrigenomics.  More importantly Dave will be remembered for
his great sense of humor and compassion.



Our sympathies are with his wife Kitty and his family.
