             Park Group Disposes of Spuddles Plant

Park  Group  plc, the Birkenhead-based financial services  and
marketing  services company, announces that it  has  sold  the
manufacturing  equipment associated with its  former  Spuddles
Limited subsidiary to Prime Potato Products Limited.

Park  first  announced the closure of Spuddles on 22  December
1998  and subsequently wrote off the investment which  in  its
last year of operations made a loss of #2.3 million.  The sale
of the plant to Prime Potato Products is expected to result in
a  net  surplus  over  book  value to  Park  of  approximately
#150,000.

Alastair Kerr, chief executive of Park Group, said:  "The core
businesses  of  the  group  are  in  financial  and  marketing
services.  In particular we intend to increase our presence in
the  weekly collected credit market through Park Direct Credit
and capitalise on the growing potential of Park Online, our e-
commerce and call centre management operation."
