Go Racing's offer to acquire racing's media rights recommended for acceptance

Arena Leisure Plc ("Arena") notes the announcement made yesterday by the
Racecourse Association and welcomes its decision to recommend to the 59
racecourses that they enter into exclusive negotiations with Go Racing
regarding their media rights, with a view to concluding a contract within two
weeks.


Commenting on the announcement, Ian Penrose said:


        "This has been a major decision for the UK racecourses. We are
        delighted that the strengths of the Go Racing consortium:
        comprehensive terrestrial coverage, interactive TV and gaming
        capability, together with global broadcasting reach, have been
        recognised. We look forward to working with the racecourses to
        maximise this opportunity for racing".


Arena expect to make further announcements regarding acceptances, funding and
timetable during the next few days.
