Arena Leisure Plc ("Arena")

Arena is pleased to note the announcement from The British Horseracing Board
("BHB") today that the BHB Board has approved both the terms and conditions on
which it would grant data licences to Go Racing and the revised Future Funding
Plan for the industry.

Arena expects that the Media Rights Agreement will become unconditional on
Tuesday 26th June, 2001. It also expects that dealings in the new shares to be
issued pursuant to the placing and open offer will commence at 8.00 am on
Tuesday 26th June, 2001 at which time the suspension of its existing
securities will be lifted.
