                   Contract Wins and Resignation of Director


The Directors of ATA are pleased to announce the following contract wins:

1.  A 10 year contract with "Tube Lines", the organisation that is responsible
    for the infrastructure and operations of the Jubilee, Northern and
    Piccadilly lines of London Underground. This contract is due to commence in
    February.The contract is for the training of Technical Staff in the areas of
    signalling maintenance and renewal and the contract amount is for a total
    initial turnover of #1.9 million, with an anticipated #650,000 being
    generated in the first twelve months.

2.  A 3 year contract with the Thames Valley Area of Network Rail. The contract
    is for the supply of on-track labour to Network Rail, which is expected to
    generate turnover of approximately #2.5 million per annum. Thames Valley is
    one of the first Directly Maintained Areas to be taken back in by Network
    Rail for infrastructure maintenance work. This success brings to an end a
    difficult period of uncertainty for our On-Track labour supply company,
    Ganymede Tracklayers Limited, acquired in late 2002.

3.  The present contract between Rail Training Audit Services Limited and
    Network Rail to supply Licensing and Audit services to Rail Safety Training
    and Assessment providers and other safety critical work groups has been
    renewed for a further year, extendable to three years.

The Directors also announce that Karl Chapman, one of the non-executive
directors of ATA Group Plc will step down from the Board on 30th January after 2
1/2 years service.

Mr Bill Douie, Chairman of ATA Group Plc, commented "We are delighted with these
contract wins. In these times of significant change in the Railway Industry it
is pleasing to secure long term arrangements and to broaden our coverage into
London Underground. Nonetheless there have been costs associated with
structuring and positioning Ganymede Tracklayers Limited which have been fully
absorbed in 2003."
