Bede plc, a Semiconductor Capital Equipment Company, is pleased to announce the
appointment of Hugh Rudden as its Chief Executive Officer with immediate effect

Hugh joins Bede with a background of over 20 years in the fast moving
semiconductor distribution segment of the industry, where he has occupied sales,
marketing and management roles.

He has worked in Germany for the past 10 years, initially for Memec Group in
semiconductor distribution and more recently for Asyntis GmbH, a start up
semiconductor equipment company working in the field of cold plasma technology.

Hugh has a Physics Degree from Durham University and currently resides in the
North of England

Commenting on the appointment, Mr Stuart McIntosh, Chairman of Bede, said: 'Both
myself and other board colleagues are very pleased with the appointment and
calibre of our new Chief Executive and we warmly welcome him to the Company'.

No further details regarding Mr Rudden are required to be disclosed under
paragraph 9.6.13 (1-6) of the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority.
