Biofuels Corporation plc

("Biofuels" or "the Company")

Former BP senior executive appointed Chairman

Following the announcement last summer that Field Walton intended to step down
as Chairman in due course, the Board of Biofuels is pleased to announce that
Mike Buzzacott has been appointed Chairman with effect from a Board meeting held
today.

A qualified accountant, Mr Buzzacott spent 35 years at British Petroleum plc
("BP") where he held a broad range of senior management positions across Europe
and Asia in the finance, downstream, nutrition and chemicals arenas. He retired
from BP in 2004 as Group Vice President, Petrochemicals.

Mr Buzzacott is currently a non-executive Director of Croda International plc
and Rexam plc and is also an adviser to the Ineos Chemicals Group, a
privately-owned company.

Field Walton, who has stepped down from the Board today, leaves Biofuels having
overseen the successful commencement of production in February at the Seal Sands
plant, one of the largest of its type in Europe and the largest in the UK.

Since the announcement at the end of February confirming first production, the
plant has demonstrated its capability of producing market-quality biodiesel and
the Company is now focussed on ramping up throughput.

The comments by the Chancellor last week, in his Budget speech, re-affirming the
Government's commitment to the reduction of carbon emissions were very
encouraging for the industry. In particular, the Board welcomes the
announcement setting out an incentive regime and volume targets to progressively
meet the 5% target of all fuel sold on UK forecourts to come from a renewable
source by 2010.

Field Walton commented:

I am proud to have been involved with the development of Biofuels from its early
conception through to the successful commencement of production, an appropriate
time for me to hand over the reins."

Mike Buzzacott commented:

"I am delighted to be joining Biofuels at this exciting stage in its
development. The demand for all biofuels is set to grow dramatically and the
Company is well placed to become the UK's premier producer of biodiesel in the
near to medium term."

                                                                   27 March 2006
